Marking the gradual transition of the Barker Pass Road into a Jeep trail. West of Lake Tahoe, Sierra Nevada, California.
EDIT: I've added a PiP of what this road looks like about 1/4 mile before it intersects the Rubicon OHV trail. It's about 5 miles--and over an hour driving!--from here.

Looks like something with 4 legs instead of 4 wheels would be more suitable... What does the number signify - your third and final warning; don't sue us if you wreck your car?!

Heh. It's the US Forest Service route number! (This is a "designated vehicle route," meaning it's open to motorized traffic.) And it's a matter of degree--the route eventually joins the famous (or notorious) Rubicon OHV trail, legendary as one of the most extreme off-highway routes in the US. But in getting there from here; you first just need high clearance, then 4wd, then--well, monster tires and skid plates like battleship armor! Even with my Jeep I gave it up before that point.
