Upper Truckee River
Upstream from Lake Tahoe, near the Hawley Grade lower trailhead. These flat meadows are probably silted-in beaver ponds. There are active beaver dams here (see adjacent photo), and lots of old ones are also visible. Sierra Nevada, California, USA.
