You can still see the drill marks-- Lincoln County, Nevada. A tungsten mine that was active from ca. WW II up to ca. 1960, probably when the Federal Government yanked the strategic metal subsidies. As is commonly the case for tungsten, the mineralization is in skarn developed at the contact between an intruding granite and host limestone.
