Rock Creek

Rock Creek
California, USA. Rock Creek makes an abrupt rightward bend on exiting the Sierra Nevada range front, due to diversion by the Bishop Tuff, to head south almost parallel with the Owens River for several miles. It finally joins the Owens when it exits the gorge it's carved into the tuff. There is a somewhat technical bike trail along the creek; we walked the bikes lots of places!

;) Actually, the trail is fine for walking--it's biking that gets a bit dicey in spots.

Glad you liked it! It's a nice trail--we've done it a couple of times as a point-to-point, with friends so we could have a car at the other end--but it's difficult enough you would _not_ want to take someone on it as their first mountain-bike experience!
