It appears to be slightly tilting. She must have had some sort of counterweight on the other side - I wonder what that was!

Still life with woman. What a great portrait! I imagine she was quite a pretty young woman. I think a cluster on cumquats would make a complimentary ballast for her hat.

I know! I've seen giant flowers, all kinds of birds, all kinds of feathers, but NEVER grapes!

haha Roger! She certainly does have a steel trap mouth that doesn't bode well for a sense of humor!
And I guess it's a little hard to see anyone with a sense of fun decking herself out in that - but she must have been quite proud of it to have her picture taken in it - grapes 'n all!
