Such a teeny waist! I love the floral print and the lightness and gauzey-ness of this dress - even though the illusion is upheld by whalebone and stays!

Alan, someone told me (at Flikr, perhaps?) that the Ivoryettes Studio (studios?) were very well known for taking portraits of people in the theater. So maybe she was a budding actress, or maybe she was someone quite well known at the time, and now lost to history.
