European Victorian Era Album - #1

New Note: Thanks to Saskia, Beauty of the Past, Elinor, and Josef Novak, and others there are translations and information that you can read more completely in my photo stream, if you are discovering this album in the Early Photography in Germany Group.
This magical, ancient looking book was a Christmas present from my eldest son, Colin and his wife, Jessica. Isn't it incredibly cool looking?
It 's a photograph album from Germany with many CDVs, some as early as the 1850s. It measures 4 3/4 in. by 6 in. by 1 1/2.
Since I speak no German, I was very appreciative that my German speaking Flickr friends helped me translate the many notes written in it. Underneath almost all the photos is what appears to be identifying information, but most of the backs also have writing.
