Aircraft boneyard art project painted on a retired Douglas C-117D Super Dakota.
I don't know the name of the piece or the artist, but I'll try to find out.

This aircraft and many of the ones I have photos of are shown in motorcycle stunt rider Robbie Madison's video.

1971 Dodge Charger R… ^club

I believe this one is an improved version of the DC-3/C-47 called Super DC-3 (DC-3S or R4D-8 by U.S. Navy) and later designated C-117D.
The wingtips and tail are more squared off than those of the original DC-3 Dakotas and C-47 Skytrains.
