Broeker Veiling – Shed
In 1922 sheds were built to protect the produce against the weather.

The auction in Broek op Langedijk was established in 1887 and was the first Dutch auction. The auction hall dates from 1912. Ships with produce would come from the nearby small fields and would sail through the auction hall.

It is a Dutch auction, so the price starts high and you have to call "mijn" (mine) (or press the button with an electronic system with a clock) when you think the price is right.
