Many years ago, an uncle gave me a piece of advice; "When you get your monthly paycheck, buy one really good quality tool. In no time you will have built yourself a toolbox, and friend, for life". So I did. And three years later, my impressive toolbox was the envy of my friends. (OK, I hadn't acquired enough to put them on a wall!)
One day in 1984, I put my toolkit in its tool box when I went to help my father with a problem. Whilst there, my car was stolen, along with all my tools.
I have been borrowing hammers and screwdrivers and power drills ever since!

How lovely - your husband certainly has a lot of good tools. I've always managed to get the correct tools that are needed normally - even though I can't always use them myself, at least if anyone does come to help me, then the tools are all here for them!

Hi Peter, thank you very much! My husband's toolbox contains only a fraction of the tools he owns! He has many varied interests when it comes to repair or building!

My collection of hand tools is much diminished. The boys lost them, left them out in the yard, borrowed them and never gave them back, etc. Now have more power tools since they've moved out.
