"Lucky" Aluminum

Macro Mondays Aluminum
An aluminum token that belonged to my father-in-law. On it are his initials, his ham radio call sign and the name of the local group he and his fellow ham radio operators belonged to (it actually began as a joke term coined by one of the members). He probably got it on a trip to a tourist site that offered machines where you could create these personalized tokens. They were especially popular back in the 1950's and 60's.
Have a wonderful week ahead, everyone!

Always was so very interested in the radio ! ... in spite I wasn't a ham radio myself.
Beautiful photograph !

I really like this, and it fits well in the square frame.
Funnily enough we were discussing the decline of true 'radio amateurs' in today's world. We know that people of your father-in-laws generation would design and build their own equipment, whereas today they simply buy it off the shelf.. Great respect to the gentleman!!
Best Wishes,
Peter
