Easter Greetings!

Saturday Self-Challenge: Long Exposure
This week involved a lot of trial and error (mostly error). I learned a bit about the relationship between shutter speed and f-stop. Since I didn't have an ND filter, I was limited in how slow I could make my shutter speed without blowing out highlights. To compensate in some degree for the lack of an ND filter, I increased the f-stop to 14 and took the image in my living room using only the sunlight streaming from the window (the glass is polarized which further dampens the light). I shot at 0.4 sec., which is slow enough to record movement of the figures in my photo without blowing out the image. It was shot using a tripod to keep non-moving parts of the image sharp. This was also a week to experiment with special effects I don't normally play with. ;-)
Happy Easter to my friends at ipernity!
