Why is the flag at half mast?

I wondered that. The flag isn't Shepperton; if it was, I'd have placed it at the top. Perhaps a local person of standing had died. There might have been something about it on one of the notice boards, but I didn't get a chance to read them.

I doubt if it was anything to do with The King, even though his health is of serious concern. We're not told what type of cancer he has but the fact that he's having ongoing chemotherapy sessions doesn't augur at all well.

His organic diet doesn't seem to have helped him much.

An organic diet might have helped Shirley, but in all the 28 years we had together she would never "play the mouth organ".

I once had fresh eel from Hamburg fish market and was instructed to hold it like a mouth organ and eat from one end to the other.

I.e. the eeling broad way.
