G-MCGU departing from Solent Airport (3) - 9 October 2021
In the late afternoon of an October Saturday, helicopter engines could be heard across Solent Airport but neither of the two Coastguard helicopters visible outside the hangar had its rotors turning. I hoped that the third machine might be AgustaWestland AW189 G-MCGU whose arrival at the Hampshire base I had missed.

After a patient wait, I was indeed rewarded by the sight of GU which departed at about 1537Z to, reportedly, Lydd.
