A Farewell Five, Cotswold Airport (1) - 27 October 2020

The Covid pandemic hastened the final withdrawal from service with British Airways of the B747-400 and the remaining aircraft were widely dispersed with the last two Heathrow based examples leaving the London airport on 8 October 2020, one to St Athan and the other to Cotswold Airport.

The weather nearly three weeks later at the Gloucestershire airport was very wet and challenging for photography but I managed a handful of passable shots of the aircraft most easily seen. Five were lined up alongside the A429 and are seen here from the north side of the airport. They are (l-r) G-BYGB, G-BYGF, G-CIVL, G-CIVJ and G-CIVN.
