Hythe Tanning Vault - 28 December 2018

Hythe in Kent is one of the many UK towns which has been affected by bank closures. Only Santander and Nationwide remain. 47 High Street, now the whimsically named Hythe Tanning Vault, was until about two years ago, a branch of HSBC. Directly opposite is Bank Street and on its corner stands a former Lloyds. I imagine the observant and curious visitor of the future will wonder about the street name.
