Baba Ruin - 19 August 2017

Baba Ruin - 19 August 2017
The Baba Ruin (Czech: Zřícenina Baba) stands on a hill outside the centre of Prague. It reportedly dates from 1650 and is thought by some to have been a chapel. Others think it might have been an early 19th century construction. I spied it from the considerable distance of Prague Zoo and the photograph shows the remarkable capabilities of the Nikon P900. I normally agonise over straightening pictures but this is how the ruin looked from my viewpoint. It is all too clear that, whatever its historic value, it has not escaped the local graffiti artists.
