Sidewalk Rose - 25 June 2017

Toronto is not especially pretty, although I am very happy when there. As the evening light faded on Bay Street, unexpected colour caught my eye and I saw that a single rose had flourished in one of the otherwise struggling sidewalk soil squares some of which have small trees. Perhaps it was planted there by someone else who thought this an architectural desert. Perhaps it is just determined.
