A Wing and A Prayer (1) - 18 July 2016

In a chance encounter this afternoon, I saw this truck on Broom Way, Lee on Solent and then stopped at the Peel Common roundabout. It appeared to be carrying scrap including, on the top of the pile, an aircraft wing. The vehicle was travelling from the general direction of Lee on Solent airfield, which is not to say that is where it came from, and turned towards Stubbington.

The serial appears to read XG6-4 which I believe was a Sea Venom although the online serial histories do not readily explain its presence here. I have published two similar pictures to give different angles on the serial. Would anyone care to cast any light on this?
