Mistaken Identity? - 31 January 2016

This apparently mundane picture is a necessary introduction to the eight which follow. The grounds of Lynn University in Boca Raton contain the Seward Johnson sculpture, 'Through Poppied Fields', depicted earlier in my photos and another featuring a photographer and the group sitting for him. That piece appears to be untitled and the accompanying plaque attributes it to J Steward Johnson Jr. [sic] which I believe to be an unfortunate error.

Seward Johnson is known also as J Seward Johnson Jr. (and J Seward Johnson II) and the work in my photographs is certainly in his distinctive style of painted bronze.


Any information to confirm or to contradict would be welcomed.
