Concorde AC - 11 July 2015
The Runway Visitor Park at Manchester Airport was busy for the Transport & Aviation Festival of the weekend of 11 & 12 July 2015 but I could not resist a peek at an old friend, dearer to me even than the other Concordes.
G-BOAC was the Concorde on which I flew LHR-IAD-MIA-IAD-LHR in March 1989. A shot I took on that trip shows its nose, whilst at MIA, on 8 March 1989. Today, I left the display hangar with tears in my eyes.
