Dadabhai Naoroji - 23 April 2015

If one were to ask people 'when did the UK elect its first Asian MP?', I doubt that many would answer correctly '1892'. This plaque can be found outside Finsbury Town Hall in Rosebery Avenue.

My chance sighting of this important plaque when photographing the building led me to the Wikipedia entry on Dadabhai Naoroji which is well worth a read.
