Eastleigh Works emerged from the shadows of seemingly irreversible railway contraction to become a new attraction for the enthusiast and photographer. On many days of the year, there is a huge variety of stock and locomotives to be seen and I am now used and resigned to making the best use of a long lens to capture the changing scene as well as today's lack of access allows.

This autumn Saturday saw GBRf Class 66 66741 tucked in with, amongst other things, an Arlington Fleet Services barrier vehicle and an ex-Army shunter.
