Former Railway Cottages - 18 August 2014

To hunt down former railway infrastructure is both exciting and frustrating even when the internet and books give some idea of what to expect. Sources often contain inaccuracies and there is nothing quite like being on the ground. This photograph in Midhurst is on the alignment of the former railway only a short distance from the former LSWR station. These, I think, are the (much modified) LSWR staff cottages although I stand to be corrected as the LB&SCR cottages are also extant in the area.
