Yad Vashem - a place and a name

Yad Vashem is Israel's official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust and is located in Jerusalem. Each of my images is produced in colour and black and white. You can decide which better conveys the message of this important place.

This is possibly the most macabre of the exhibits. It is a truck chassis on which corpses were loaded for incineration at Majdanek. In November 1943 around 18,000 of the camp's Jews were murdered and the bodies burned.
