Heritage railways go a long way to allowing us to imagine or relive what lines and stations were like many years ago. Inevitably there are details in backgrounds or even foregrounds which betray the date of a photograph. Sepia can lend some timelessness to a picture and is used here partially to disguise a disappointing cone on the platform.
