Colourful but Closed - 24 June 2013

Leigh Park (Havant) runs Gosport pretty close for retail decay but, on balance, has done more to attempt a revival. Nevertheless, this large property in Park Parade has lead a faltering existence since operating as a fairly substantial Co-operative department store in the 60s, 70s and (I think) early 80s and, more recently, a Netto. The apparent air of desolation is relieved by the coloured roller shutters which, in fact, conceal small units awaiting lease.
