The broken pieces sadly represent all the lives lost so tragically and the profound economic damage caused by this pandemic. The sad face reflects the current reality while the unbroken circles represent continuity, physical and economic recovery, and the perseverance of life. The splash of red colors represent love, life and vitality since there is nothing that can extinguish the human spirit and hope since we will ultimately overcome this adversity no matter how dark or grim the days may appear.

Unfortunately... I have been raised in a very poor social context: we had nothing and everything we could get was to be preserved. I am far from there fortunately but I kept the good habits... and have always felt fine with that. It is for me a matter of respect, for those who sacrified to raise me (I was an abandoned child) and for those who still struggle...

Sad to say, I saw this coming considering people didn't take precautions, making the same mistakes as those in Spain and Italy. Also our healthcare system has never been perfect, compounding matters.
