Zumindest für einen Aufzug in Frankfurt kann ich das ganz genau sagen...nämlich der auf den Maintower. Es gibt aber tatsächlich Städte mit schiefen Aufzügen, z.B. Hannover ;-)

Well, this photo was taken from the Maintower (no portmanteau either, you can google that tower if you want) and yes, this spectacular view from up there over the city also allows you a closer peek into the offices of the surrounding highrises. You're absolutely right and that might explain the current coniditon Germany is in!! ;-)))

Yes, indeed. Downtown Frankfurt resembles Manhattan and that's why its nickname is Mainhattan (Frankfurt is located on the Main River) :-)

Yes, they can. I wouldn't want to live there, but once in a while I really enjoy taking photos in a city like Frankfurt because Karlsruhe doesn't offer such perspectives. And my main purpose of going to Frankfurt is, as always, to visit an old school-friend of mine :-)
