Several people commented on the "eye". Perhaps this is a private eye elephant, hiding his eyes in his legs for reasons of looking less suspicious ;-)

Well, in that case I'd suggest to skip the newspaper and read the previous comments instead or to employ a private eye elephant! ;-))
