Welcome to Egypt!

You can easily mistake Karlsruhe for Egypt. To make matters even more complicated, you don't just stumble upon a real pyramid in Karlsruhe, the city even sports several live sphinxes in addition to this pyramid.
Underneath this pyramid there's a shortcut to Egypt and vice versa in Egypt to Karlsruhe. Saves travel time and money ;-)

Na, der erste Grundstein auf dem Grund ;-) Die Pyramide steht ja auf mehreren Grundsteinen, auf nur einem wäre sie ja etwas wackeling und könnte womöglich umkippen ;-)))

Ausserdem solltest du es zu würdigen wissen, dass der Markgraf höchstpersönlich den ersten Grundstein gelegt hat. Der hat immerhin mit angepackt und ist nicht rumgestanden und hat den fleissigen Badenern beim Arbeiten zugeschaut!! ;-))))))))))

So ein bisschen schon ;-) Dort ist der Pharao Carl (Karl) Wilhelm beigesetzt, der Gründer der Stadt Karlsruhe ;-)) Als Grabbeigabe hat man sogar einen antiken Regenschirm gefunden (kein Scherz)! :-)

Nicht? Na, da wird's Zeit, dass du und Wiebke mal nach Karlsruhe kommt. Dort gibt's auch Sphinxen, ein Schloss, einen Botanischen Garten und die erste E-Mail ins Ausland wurde nach Karlsruhe verschickt. Die ist wahrscheinlich in irgendeinem Museum ausgestellt, das müsste ich noch herausfinden ;-)

Paris has tried to copy Karlsruhe with some of its monuments, but clearly can't keep up with it.
No transportation either, just with Greece for a few weeks, but that's overused.
