Ah, so we're both carnival kids :-)) And of course that's exciting, Rosa, I know how you feel! :-) As a kid (and also as a teenager) I used to have carnival birthday parties and my school-friends had to show up in crazy carnival outfits on my birthday! Did you do that on yours, too?
And thanks for revealing your birthday, I think I'll be able to remember it because I have a good friend here whose birthday is on October 8 :-)

Der Karneval ist nur in Deutschland mit Aschermittwoch zu Ende. In Frankreich gibt es z.B. den bekannten "Carnaval de Nice" (dieses Jahr zu Ende am 25.2.), und in der Normandie den "Carnaval Alemanique" in einer kleinen Stadt (Bellême), der findet am 4. und 5. März statt. Und hier im Dorf laufen die Schulkinder immer so Anfang März verkleidet durch die Strassen. Andere Länder, andere Sitten....

Stimmt. Aber da ich in Deutschland wohne, ist es für mich halt so ;-) Aber ich bin eh nicht der riesengrossen faschingsfan (obwohl ich am faschingsdienstag geboren bin), da kommt's dann auf ein paar tage früher oder später auch nicht mehr an ;-) Als kind und teenager fand ich fasching ganz lustig, naja, besonders das verkleiden :-) Heute muss ich mich nicht mehr verkleiden, das bin ich eh schon die ganze zeit ;-)))

Und wo ist das Einhorn?!
