Hippos im Mara River

Zum Schutz vor Sonne und Krankheitserregern, sondern Nilpferde ein schweißähnliches Sekret ab. Es enthält orange und rote Farbpigmente. Daher erscheinen Nilpferde häufig in einem Rosaton.

Der Mara River ist bekannt für die große Tierwanderung zwischen Juli und September bei der weit über 1 Million Tiere den Fluss überqueren und Abertausende ihren Tod durch Raubtiere finden.

klasse Hippo-Bilder, vor allem das PiP finde ich mit der Putzkolonne auf dem Rücken amüsant! die Vögel fressen Maden und Ungeziefer aus den Schnitten in der Haut und halten sie sauber - es ist also ein gutes Geschäft für alle ;-))
