How wonderful. I assume therefore that you are on holiday in Turkey. Today my daughter and her husband were in Bodrum sorting out her residency there. She lives just a few bays from Bodrum in Ortakent. She's been living there now for almost 9 years. I love that country - wonderful views and the people are so nice.

I do apologise to assume you were on holiday there as I've just seen that you were on a cruise a few times and that was probably taken on one of those.

Took this photo during a cruise in the Med in 2010. We found the entire Med area to be fascinating. Since 2010, we re-visited more than once.

The sad fact is that we had a once-in-a-lifetime chance to visit Istanbul in 2016, but the cruise line was prevented from allowing passengers to leave, forced into this situation by the politicians. We did get a remarkable cruise of the Bosporus, something most cruise passengers never see. Would have wanted to see the remains of the old Empire in the city.

We have not cruised since late 2019, and may not ever get another chance.
