Thanks > The mountains are not so high (about 2 to 3000 ft )

Iceland is strange The light looks to come in almost level
No walls or fences _ trees - lupins seem to be everywhere; they left to die back to produce compost and reseed themselves _ eventually they will be able to grow other plants

The Whale watching trip was in the evening

If you do go there look for a mountain guide to take you on a hike into 'the interior' and visit a volcano
