I guess you had some HDR mode on. What it does is that the camera takes three (or more) exposures and then tries to make HDR image out of them. If you then shoot a moving target (or camera moves), you get ghostly multiple exposure shots like this.

The "frame" on top and bottom are just for fun, and of course edited afterwards. But the ghostly silhouettes are there because people changed the place between exposures.
