Up From the West Quoddy Shore

The path at the top, leading left and right, traverses miles of rocky shoreline cliffs; and the waters edge, which is far below, is mostly inaccessible to hikers. Here though, is a reprieve for those who generally don't rappel down cliffs.

I like the name Quoddy and wonder about it's origin. Amerind? Manx? (yes, they have many surnames beginning with 'Q.' Most Quinns, Quinlans, etc came originally from The Isle of Man?) ... or elsewhere ...
L. L. Wall club has replied to Andy Rodker club(Oh, the social/political correctness of our times -- Indian, American Indian, native Americans, Amerind, indigenous peoples, First Peoples ... hah, use one of these appellations and you'll probably irritate someone somewhere. And there are others, particularly offensive, that one should not even think of.) (I have 2 stories about this topic which are much too long to recount here ... maybe in a pub someday.)
