U.S. Patrol Boat & Canadian Lighthouse

The boat is docked in Lubec, Maine, USA; and labelled for use by State of Maine Dept of Marine Resources and also Bureau of Marine Police. (The open transom on the stern facilitates off-loading of audited lobster pots.) The Mulholland Point Lighthouse is on Campobello Island, Province of New Brunswick, Canada. The waterway is the Lubec Narrows, which drains several large bays and estuaries, with a high/low tidal variation of 6 - 8 meters, so the incoming and out-going flow is dangerously strong and fast. Tide is pretty far down in this shot; note the high-tide level on the far shore and on the nearby pilings.
