A terrific view Paulo and I love that sky!

Is it still a convent? It is quite sad if the legend is true that the windows were barred to prevent novices from jumping out of the windows. It must have been quite a harsh existence and quite isolating I would imagine then.

It's not a convent anymore, Carol. Now it will be a five-star hotel. Opens soon it seems.
Originally it was built as a convent, and functioned as such until 1892. It was later transformed into a prison (I think that's where the bars on the windows appear...) which in turn closed in the seventies having been closed and a little abandoned until half a dozen years ago. Now it has been granted for fifty years to the company that will open the hotel. I hope the legend is just a legend and that the nuns never threw themselves out of windows...
