San Francisco´s Church ruins

San Francisco´s Church ruins
At Santo Domingo, destroyed by the famous Francis Drake, one of the most famous Caribbean pirates. . Love the light, shadows and textures

Gudrun, Helena Ferreira, photosofghosts, Smiley Derleth and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

i think i would have loved it more without the fence, which obturates the beauty of the ruins. I admit in reality it added lot of beauty by the shadows

Ah, el Draque ! Funny how different cultures see the man. For the Brits, he is a hero. For the Spaniards, he is a pirate. For the French, he is a corsaire :)
Nice shot!

The ruins looks still grandiose, is there a possibility to visit them? And Francis Drake, he had several "jobs": sea captain and explorer as well as slave trader and privateer...
