Well, today was the first mild day with some watery sun. Watery because we have the (semi-regular) Saharan dust pall settling over us. You can actully taste the sand on your tongue!

Hi Fred it is not so old but the area is and plenty of old buildings around too, this bet just happens to have been redeveloped ~ Hanwe

This looks like a lovely promenade, dear Nick. I hope that soon you'll be able to visit here - maybe in the summer. I have now had the first dose of Pfizer 3 weeks ago, and Adrian had his first course of Oxford yesterday.

Yes it is. It lies along one of our favourite walks from the flat. We walk down to the Gosport ferry and sail cross the harbour to Portsmouth, then walk to gunwharf quay and on to the IOW ferry port and into old Portsmouth then along the front to Southsea.
I'm glad that you have both received your first jab. I'm an Oxford man myself having always supported the rowing team since a child.
