St James Church ~ Shaftesbury, Dorset

Very nice church. I searched a lot , but could not find how old it is.

The same I found. It's only says rebuilt 1866.But I'm sure this is older.

A fabulous misty shot Nick. As you know, I have walked down to St James and past this church many times :-)

I remember Rosa, I used to live in a house hidden by the trees for while, later my parents lived in Love Lane for a few years too :~)

Always loved this view. Not been anywhere near here now for getting on for a dozen years or so.

Then it is worth a diversion next time you are travelling westwards. I must admit it is rare for me to visit Shaftesbury this days. Isobel was there last Friday to visit an old friend on her way to Weston s Mare

When I lived in Pinner and visited family in Cornwall I often stopped off here to pop in to see family friends and have a mid - journey break and a spot of lunch. Now I live in Spain and don't have a car and so never go anywhere near!
