A very old train!

A very old train!
Some information on this aged loco is here:- www.nnrailway.co.uk/portfolio-items/ger-y14-564.

The coaches are just as old!

Hi Rosa ,
Thank you for visiting!
I'm happy that you had a good look!!
It always intreagues me how those old engines in the wild west make so much black smoke when they have wood burning chimneys!!
Best Wishes, and keep safe!!

A build date of 1912 but an 1883 design. 289 of this type were built with 15 still in service in 1961.

There was a similar style and design used on the Australian rail system (NSWGR) I knew as a younger railfan. The type first was introduced in 1877 and a few were still in revenue service until 1971.
