Holocaust Memorial Day 2022 also marks 77 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
This is 'Platform 17' at Grunewald, near Berlin, from which thousands of Jews were shipped off to concentration camps.
Further along, trees have been allowed to grow between the tracks, so 'No train could ever pass this way again".
