It is a strange piece of architecture, almost like an addition to a repurposed building. Beyond that I have no idea!! You will have to visit to check it out...!

My guess is that these were built for families of workers employed in the nearby mill a long time ago. There are four doors, each with their own letterbox and number. This kind of thatched roof doesn't last a long time, so will be fairly recent.

We have many houses like this, dating back a very long time, which are perfectly usable. Of course they will have been refurbished inside, (new plumbing, wiring, heating, etc), so good homes for people!!
