Whitby Abbey is a ruined Benedictine abbey overlooking the North Sea on the East Cliff above Whitby in North Yorkshire, England. It was butchered during the 'Dissolution of the Monasteries' under the auspices of Henry VIII.

I have been to Whitby many many times, and many times been unlucky with the weather, just like you. This evening was different! As for the steps, just keep putting one foot above the other!!
