I have to admit I only cut it down when we put the house up for sale....It made me feel like I was somewhere hot, even in the winter. LOL!!

Very interesting discussion of the trees... Maybe a simple explanation.. someone threw away a pineapple here, and it started to grow around the tree!

Well Peter, I just don't know what happened here!! Its just an odd occurrence for sure. Lots of folks stop and take a look..... the lack of visits from friends is always understood here Peter.

I had one of these in my London garden and it did very well, to the detriment of everything else that once grew alongside it. I left it alone all by itself in its own bed. It was very happy!
I can't now for the life of me remember what it was called.
