Doug, there are several of these historical homes along this nature/tourist motor trail.... many years ago, these were homes of folks that settled in these Smokey Mountains ... now the homes are maintained in this ancient condition for enjoyment by the tourist and visitors.

thank Doug, Sarah

Steve, in the time that folks lived in these homes, it was a remote place. but now this one-way dirt road is maintained as a tourist nature trail by car to see the sights along this "Roaring Fork" nature trail its an interesting drive for sure, we take it every year. I will in time post some streams and small water falls along this scenic drive.

Best wishes, Sarah xx

Peter. I do not know enough about the real history here, but this is now a scenic drive by car on a one way drive.....these homes along this scenic drive were real homes of folks, but now they are empty and kept up for interest along this "Foaring Fork" trail. and ya know, Hillbillies could have been the occupants of these historic homes. and YEP, moonshine might be part of the history here Peter :) thanks for coming by,,, Sarah

Hello Rosa, yes I think they let them look old like this, but they do maintain them., for the tourist who come through here all the time. They try to keep it true to its history.
