When first posting this fence, I surely thought the greenery was figure 8's. that is not the case, well, they look like 8's don't they ?:) talked to the owner, tho they DO look like 8's, they pruned/trained the Ivy plant to be "diamond" shaped...top one and bottom one....By use of a plastic wire they attached the ivy as they wanted, but it is now THIS shape. on that first '8' there to the left, I can see a bit of a "heart" shape or diamond, but with time they have filled in and looks to be 8;s :)) mystery solved! :)

Maybe the house number is 8888? You do have a somewhat more flexible numbering system than we do , don't you?

Hello Peter! guess what? I have talked to the owner, we know them well, and he says this is a form of Ivy growing on that fence (and on the other side also) When they planted it , the wife wanted to form the ivy into a shape, It was intended to be more like "diamond" shape but this is how it has ended up. They get lots of comments, /questions on this :)) so Peter, it isn't their house number OR that they live on the 8th hole of the golf course. They actually live near the 17th hole :)) HFF to you too. Hi Leon, YEP a good idea I think, to be awake when viewing photos :))) YEs this neighborhood is right on edge of Golf Course so I really thought the 8's were all about that, BUT not so ! :)
