This is a special cake I designed, baked and decorated for a sweet girl from Thailand ,who has been in our family for one year, living with my oldest son and family and attending school here with their Daughter, Elizabeth. She (Mook, the nickname) flies back to her homeland this Thursday May 24, after completing her 9th grade here in the United States. This cake was presented to her at a gathering this weekend of our family and friends she has made while here. The Theme here was a farewell to her, with gifts, hugs, and remembrances given to her. Just after she arrives back in Thailand, she celebrates her 16th. Birthday, so Happy Birthday was written on one end of this special cake. :)

Hi Maurice, yes our son and family have had a good year with Mook, they are a busy family having a daughter into lots if things, and Mook , going to the school with our G/daughter, was exposed to lots of things while in America. She indicates that she might not be ready to return to Thailand. :) But she will this week on Thursday. Her flight home will be a long one for her! Thanks Maurice.

Hello dear Steve, Yes we too wish her a safe flight home, it will be a long flight !! across the US, then out over the Pacific Ocean, into China and on to Thailand... We are going to miss her.
and Yes I had fun doing this special cake for her. thanks.
